The village and its environs are a popular holiday area. In summer it is used for hiking and cycle touring. The International Path of Lužické hory and Žitavské hory starts in Jitrava. The settlement of Polesí is known as the most beautiful holiday destination of Lužické hory. There are plenty of houses featuring rural architecture. There is a natural monument called Bílé kameny near the village - protected by the state since 1995.
