Stružnice is located around 6km west of Česká Lípa.

The first record of Stružice dates back to 1281, when it is recorded as a part of the Klinštejn estate. In 1577 it was promoted to become a small town by Emperor Rudolf II upon a request of John of Vartemberk.

Nowadays Stružnice is a farming location and holiday resort. It lies in the flat countryside of a shallow and wide valley along the undulating course of the Ploučnice River. There is St. Laurence's Church in Stružnice; other interesting sights include a group of statues in the square, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, bridge over Ploučnice with a statue of St. John of Nepomuk and cemetery chapel in Jezvé.
