The house which in 1875 saw the birth of Ferdinand Porsche, the famous automobile designer and also the creator of Volkswagen. This residential building also served as a place where Ferdinand´s father, Anton Porsche, run a prosperous tinsmith´s workshop.

The presentation is centred around Ferdinand Porsche´s engineering and design spirit: staged in this authentic place, the exhibition shows Porsche´s remarkable personality in historical contexts while describing the journey to individual mobility that resulted in designing the first Volkswagen vehicle. Further, the presentation highlights the milestones in the history of engineering and design skills to which Ferdinand Porsche´s work contributed significantly.
